Mission Egypt 2008In May, 2008 our congregation sent 13 members of our church family to serve our Lord in Cairo, Egypt. The goal: help renovate the Fowler’s Girls’ Orphanage in response to a specific request from our partners at Lutheran Hour Ministries. The mission: to be a vessel of Christ’s compassionate love for all those who would be encountered in the journey. |

Katrina Relief: February 2007The Third St. Paul Katrina Relief Team stayed at Camp Restore in East New Orleans Parish. The team worked both in and near the 9th ward of New Orleans where extensive flood damage occurred when the levies broke. This team worked at clean-up and home repair for several area homeowners. More importantly the team offered emotional support as they listened to their stories and provided spiritual comfort by praying with them and for them. It was hard for the team to see that the damage to many of the New Orleans areas did not look much different than it did in the immediate weeks following Hurricane Katrina and Rita even though it is already 18 months later. There is still so much to do! |

Katrina Relief: May 2006A team of 13 members of St. Paul returned to Ocean Springs and Camp C.O.R.E. to continue aiding the residents of the Gulf Coast. We repaired homes and mudded dry wall, but more importantly, we offered words of encouragement and hope to the people we met, all in His name. |

Katrina Relief: January 2006The 17 members of the St. Paul Katrina Relief Team traveled to Ocean Springs, MS to share the love of Christ with the people of the Gulf Coast whose homes and lives were destroyed by Hurricane Katrina. We “cleaned and sanitized” several homes, removed debris from a high school, and helped renovate Camp C.O.R.E. in preparation for an influx of college volunteers during the upcoming Spring Break. God has given so much to us that we wanted to offer Him praise and thanks by serving His people. |

Sri Lanka Eye Glass Mission - May 2005Shortly after the tsunami hit the coast of Sri Lanka, Pastor Marc Schwichtenberg, Sue Husar and Brian Husar traveled there with a mission team from M.O.S.T. Ministries. The purpose of this mission was to share the love of Jesus by providing free eyeglasses to the many survivors of this catastrophe. The local missionaries at the free clinics professed the Gospel message in the dialects spoken in each area visited to the mostly Hindu and Muslim residents who came to receive eyeglasses. It was our prayer that they would also come to "see" Jesus and His love through our love for them. |
