Purpose – Saint Paul Lutheran Church and School views children as precious gifts from God and with parents, acknowledge its responsibility for their care and nurture. Therefore, Saint Paul carries out its mission and ministry by establishing and maintaining a program of extended day care to provide a safe, secure, and caring atmosphere for children of the school.

SPOT (Saint Paul Over Time) is available to all students enrolled in Saint Paul Lutheran School from Kindergarten- 8th grade on a daily basis when school is in session. Extended day care is available for Pre-Kindergarten aged students on the days that they are enrolled at Saint Paul.

Closing time for SPOT is 5:00 pm.

    SPOT Procedures and Policies

    The SPOT program will use indoor and outdoor spaces on campus.

    Dropping off and picking up:

    A parent, or other assigned adult, will walk the child to the door and check in with the caregiver on duty. In the same manner, a parent, or other assigned adult, will come to the door to check their child out with the SPOT staff.

    Change in student’s schedule:

    A parent must inform SPOT staff AND the child’s teachers at least one day prior to any change that will occur in the child’s regular schedule. In the event of an emergency, please call the office to let us know your child will be attending SPOT.

    Lunch and snacks:

    Breakfast, lunch, and snacks will not be provided, but students are encouraged to bring nutritious foods and drinks. No pop is allowed. SPOT staff may, on occasion, do a healthy snack activity to celebrate a holiday or special occasion.

    PLEASE inform SPOT staff of any allergies your child might have.

    Play areas:

    Saint Paul School playground and gym and Owen Park may be used for activities when available.

    SPECK Registration and Billing Information

    ALL children must be pre-registered for use of SPOT programming. Registration forms are available in the school office.

    Student use of SPOT, before and after school, will be scheduled and paid ahead of time. An invoice for billing overages will be sent out at the beginning of the month which covers the time used from the previous month.

    Cost per hour for SPOT: $8 per hour, with a maximum of $18 per hour for families. For pickups later than 5 pm, a $1 per minute late fee will be assessed.
